John did what we asked him to do and did it well. He even went to the city and got a code variation for our remodel, which allowed us to put a fireplace in our bedroom. He guided us to an excellent contractor, when we were thinking of one which probably would caused us problems. The job was substantially over budget, but my friends told me to expect that at the outset.

We hired John Beery at the recommendation of our general contractor, a friend of more than 30 years, to design our new custom home. It was a complicated project that included a tear down of an existing home, keeping certain features of the existing property that no longer meet current setback regulations, acquiring a coastal development permit, shepherding the project through neighborhood association review, and coordination with other design professionals we wanted to use on the project. The completed property is beautiful and functional beyond our imagination, and was completed on time and at budget. John Beery is a very talented Architect with strong custom design capabilities. We have been extremly satisfied on two new construction projects that John provided the architectural design, working drawings, permit processing and construction management services for us. The first project was our 6500 sf. custom residential home and outdoor kitchen located in Olivehain, CA. and the second was a outdoor prayer chapel in Carlsbad, CA. Both projects were unique and we were extremly happy with the final results. I contracted with John Berry Group to design and over see the building of my 8000 square foot home in Carlsbad, Ca. John did a excellent job in design the home and helped with getting the plans thru City Plan Check and the Home Owners Assocation. Also, he provided me with choices of builders to build the home. Which ended up saving me a lot of money and the getting a quality home. I could not have chosen a better company to accomplish all these necessary tasks.
