After interviewing several architects for my projects (new build and remodel) I hired BCi designs for several reasons - her professionalism, listening skills, creativity and knowledge. Bea understood what I was trying to achieve and was extremely collaborative. A critical success factor is her ability to work with everyone on the project. She was respected by the tradesmen for her knowledge of every aspect of the build and ability to clearly define/resolve any questions that surfaced. This contributed to the on time, on budget outcome. Will hire BCi designs for any future projects.

It is with great gratitude that my husband and I write this review for Bea Ettinger, BCI Designs. She did a beautiful job updating the design of our 65 year old beach cottage home which now feels contemporary, spacious, refined, comfortable and joyful to live in. Our tastes evolved once we started working with Bea. Her design made our house flow from room to room in a way we have never experienced in the 28 years we have lived here, even after two prior remodels. The details she added and the colors she suggested tied together the old with the new construction seamlessly. My husband and I interviewed numerous designers to help us with the remodeling of our home. We chose BCi Designs due to the high workability rate with the city. Our goal was to minimize the time of construction so we could move back into the home in a timely manner. The process ran flawless from drafting and submitting plans to the final Certificate of Occupancy. We were thrilled with BCi Designs and continue to refer them to everyone we know.

We have used BCi Designs twice now and each time they exceeded our expectations. Our first job was a complete three bedroom closet re-design. Bea found a solution that was unique and something I would have never been able to see. She has an amazing ability to see designs that are unique, beautiful, but yet functional. I give Bea and BCI my highest recommendation. We did a very extensive remodel of a 1940's home in Manhattan Beach. We were dealing a number of challenges: among those numerous non conforming setback issues that would generally be considered a reason the demolish and start over. Bea worked with the city and us to resolve all the issues in a way that everybody won. We have beautiful modern home that is exactly what we were hoping for. Bea is an amazing listener and collaborator, she is full of great ideas and solutions to tricky situations. I'm quite certain we would/t have the beautiful home we do without her.
