We have loved working with Sam. We hired Sam for the complete renovation of our double to turn it into a single, a major undertaking. Not only is he professional & timely with his work, but he is very considerate of how the layout works for our everyday lives. He really paid attention to how we want the house to function for us Sam really made our thoughts and wishes come to life with his architectural plans. Working with Sam has been a wonderful experience through such a long and difficult project. He helped us keep the budget on track, and he was very considerate of the timeline. Sam was always available for us and our contractor . Sam has the benefit of being an architect as well as a designer which really helps make our house remodel cohesive because not only did he helps us redesign the floor plan, but he also helped us pick out the firniture and decor. We have enjoyed being Sam's clients, and we will definitely use him again in the future for other projects. Sam was truly a blessing for our home remodel.

He is an excellent architect who knows how to navigate all the permits at City Hall, understands the local architecture and has a good eye for detail and ornamental enhancements to the project. Sam Bavido created the architectural drawings for a major renovation on our traditional double shotgun house in the Bywater neighborhood. Our project was extensive and we were not knowledgeable about the drawing, permitting or building process. We found Sam totally by accident, and it turns out we got very lucky! Sam worked with us extensively in the early days to get a sense of what we wanted to achieve with our renovation. We talked through quality-of-life scenarios so we could visualize how certain design choices would impact our day-to-day experience of home. Sam made recommendations, offering opinions and insights from his own experience. Many of these proved to be excellent solutions we wouldn't have thought of on our own. In other cases, we came back with strong opinions about different choices we wanted to make. Sam was equally supportive and flexible with every decision we made, and worked hard to find solutions for things on our wish list which didn't at first seem feasible. What we wound up with was a set of top-notch drawings detailing every aspect of our dream renovation, including elevation drawings, basic wiring plans, and architectural details that would appeal to the Historic District Landmark's Commission (HDLC) when it came time to submit the plans for permit. Even the outside HUD consultant we hired for our 203K loan package was impressed. "With drawings like this you won't have nearly as many problems in the building process," he said. Throughout this time, we had access to Sam's extensive knowledge about the building and permitting process in the city. He put us in contact with several contractors when we were looking to expand our pool of bids. He represented us before HDLC and building permit officers and talked us through the process when we had to handle these hurdles on our own. At every point throughout the process, Sam was kind, gracious, sympathetic, thoughtful and supportive of our goals. It was an extremely rewarding process and well worth the money. We couldn't have done it without him!

Sam Bavido Jr. designed an Acadian in the Hayes Towne tradition on a private lake in Slidell. Sam was immediately approachable, highly knowledgable, and gave us a beautiful home. With personal touches Sam gave our home the character we both identify with including touches of technology to make our home comfortable and very livable. We are planning out next project now and Mr. Bavido of course is our first contact. We know it's the best move to make to begin your dream project as we have. We recommend highly Mr. Bavido's creativity and imaginative purpose for any project. Don't build your home without him.
