Avenue 39 Landscape Design

Working on our mid-century modern hardscape and landscape remodel project with Natalie has been a pleasure! She is very responsive, professional, and her knowledge of plants and landscaping design is amazing. She also created a very unique and beautiful design for our hardscape and fencing. Executive Summary: Natalie at Avenue 39 Landscape Design (A39LD) is fantastic. Our Story: When our daughter was engaged to be married in November 2020 we were ecstatic, but then when she decided (due to Covid) she wanted to be married in our backyard we were freaked because our backyard was a disaster with a capital "D". We hurriedly starting researching Landscape Architects and were blessed to find Natalie at A39LD. Natalie came to the jobsite for a collaboration meeting where we exchanged thoughts and ideas. We then started the demolition process and Natalie started designing. In short order she had the initial plan ready for our review and it was in a word "fantastic". After making very minor adjustments Natalie presented the final plans along with recommended trees and plants that she had researched and was confident were appropriate for our area and climate. Once we had her plan in hand we were able to start obtaining bids and placing contractors under contract. Throughout this arduous and very stressful period Natalie stayed in contact with us and was always available for consultation. Thru Natalie's diligence the backyard project was completed on schedule and we had a beautify May wedding. Not only did we acquire a great new SIL, but we now have a beautiful backyard that we enjoy every day. We will be forever indebted to Natalie at A39LD. Conclusion: Natalie at A39LD is a consummate professional who is passionate about the "holistic design" while at the same focusing on the details which results in a fantastic end product.

After the initial meeting with Natalie, she was able to quickly put on paper the vision I had for the backyard. Together we finalized the design and we came up with a work plan. This allowed me to seek out contractors to obtain bids for my project. I have also engaged her for additional services, i.e. oversee the project in my absence and to assist with the plants and lighting orders. From inception to the end of the project, Natalie was a consummate professional and her guidance and assistance has been valuable to me. Avenue 39 helped us meet our goal of replacing our lawn with California-friendly native plants that are better suited to an arid climate where water is a limited resource. Not all of the plants worked as hoped, but we were one of her first clients, and her price was very reasonable. Had we done it ourselves, I am sure the outcome would have been much less to our liking.

Oh..... Your lucky you found this Landcsape Designer!!! Natalie was a pleasure to work with, and really listen to my ideas and improve on them million times over. And I'm a designer too!!!! Natalie was so prepared when she shows up for work and truly was a jem to find. I was so lucky to have her!!! Our backyard turned out amazing and the family only want to be outside now. It was a tricky shaped yard and wow what a job she did really utilizing the space. She reshape it with a great hardscape design and great plant choices. It is a mix of draught tolerant plants and the plants, had to be able to live with a few older trees that need water. That can get really confusing I know this was are second draught tolerant garden....but she really knows her plants!!!! You can only have great designs with Natalie she rocks!!!! :)
