About Us

d3 architecture is a full service, LEED certified firm based in Los Angeles. Specializing in commercial and custom residential design (for both single and multi-family dwellings), projects include new construction, remodels and additions. While studying for her degree in architecture at Cornell University, Arminda Diaz completed the prestigious Edlitz Felowship in Florence, Italy and spent one summer studying architecture in Japan. These experiences shaped the international aesthetic she brings to her professional projects. Arminda worked at various firms, including Fredrick Fisher & Partners (senior designer on a 3000 SF single family residence), and Aleks Istanbullu / John Kaliski (senior designer on a 3000 SF addition / renovation of a single family residence). At Clive Wilkinson Architects, she was involved in the adaptive reuse of the industrial building which today houses TBWA / Chiat-Day. In 2001, Arminda established d3 Architecture, specializing in single family dwellings with an active pursuit of green design. Arminda continues to bring her unbridled passion for design solutions and expertise to her firm as well as to the architecture courses she recently taught at the University of Southern California.

I had the pleasure working with Arminda Diaz from d3architecture on a few separate projects. The most recent is a 5 suite B&B located in the Los Angeles area. Arminda and her team were attentive, efficient and very professional. Not only re-creating the space with new layouts for each suite but also assisting with any bumps that came along the way with city planning. She is talented and an ease to work with. I highly recommend Arminda and d3architecture for any projects.

d3architecture did a great job listening to our ideas and created a beautiful remodel and addition. They were instrumental in getting the project rolling through the permit and design review process. And continued to follow through the project completion. We received many complements, including from building and design professionals. Well deserved high praise for d3architecture!

I have worked with d3archiecture on multiple residential remodel projects and have been very happy with their work. They handle the entire process from concept sketches, final design, permitting, and through construction. I always received a quick reply to my questions and when problems arose d3archiecture had the solution.

d3 created a meca in the a challenging environment. A tiny lot in the congested Silicone Beach community that prides itself on hipness.m the building stands as a tribute toothed architects ability to design a structure that met all the creative and logistical needs of the owner. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. The challenges of not only the coastal commission but the restrictive neighborhood were many and in the end they were able to get,the building I wanted. I would highly recommend this firm not only for their creative visions but for their knowledge of the permit process.
