We started our sunroom project with another contractor in the spring of 2022 and by July we had a slab and most of the framing done. That contractor disappeared and left us with that partially completed project. TRS Build to the rescue! They were able to get the city approval for what had been completed by the other contractor and finished the project with a minimum of rework. They were always friendly and professional in dealing with us and communicated their plans to be accomplished each week. As expected, some of those plans fell through, but we appreciated their keeping us in the loop of what was happening with the project. As we were told in the beginning, there were some highs and some lows as we progressed through the process, but in the end, we are extremely satisfied with our finished sunroom.

We were very pleased with the TRS dream team this year. We had several home projects in mind and decided to start with our guest bath. After researching and asking around, several people referred TRS. From the first meeting, we were impressed by their organization, friendliness, and expertise. The listened to our needs, while adding additional thoughts and ideas. Irama was an excellent project manager throughout the entire project. She was patient, attentive, and informative. Annemarie was always lovely to interact with, patient as we made slight modifications along the way. The entire crew were polite and hard working, doing a great quality job and in an impressive timeline. We look forward to working with them all again as we continue our home remodeling projects.

We are so happy with the completion of our little project. Every step of the home remodeling process was made easy. We are very happy with TRS making it easy to accomplish our goals.
We wanted to make extra space out of our existing home setup. We needed an extra bedroom, an upgrade play-space for the kids, and some restructuring of the the kitchen to make the space more usable, we also added a closet under the stairs.
Anne-Marie really helped us get our vision off the ground, we were able to bounce ideas off of her, and get an idea of costs and complication of the work that would be done. She was also very accommodating with our desire to do some minor parts of the work ourselves in order to save money on the project.
Jenny made our vision come to life once we knew exactly what we were going to do with our project. We were very happy with the plans that she made and she gave us plenty of updates until we were totally happy with the whole project.
We weren't sure what to expect when the construction started. We planned to stay in the house while the work was going on. We were able to plan for the demo to take place while we went on a family trip.
TRS was so flexible throughout the whole process. Walter was our project manager, and if we needed something, or requested work to be done on different parts of the house of the day, he made it happen. We both work from home so we have meetings throughout the week.
The crew was very respectful of our time, space and personal needs as a family of 5. Walter, made sure things got done where and when needed, he always double checked with us before any changes were made, and he made sure that we were happy with every piece of work was done throughout the process.
There were definitely some inconveniences during the process, but that really can't be helped when you are living in the same place where construction is happening.
I really can't recommend TRS enough, if we ever have another build/upgrade to accomplish, we will definitely be reaching out again. It is so nice to have a builder that you can trust.

We couldn't be more thrilled with our home addition! We added on a primary bathroom & closet with TRS and the entire experience was amazing. The outcome far exceeded our expectations and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We always felt prioritized, listened to, and valued. Huge shout out and thanks to Walter, who was the PM on our project and executed our vision flawlessly. We really appreciated your thoughtful approach to every decision and your guidance throughout the process.
Highly recommend TRS--we are so grateful for our beautiful space that will allow us to stay in the home and neighborhood that we love!

When we first set out to build our addition, we had a general sense of what we wanted, but we didn't know how to get there, how long it would take, or what it would cost. After several interviews with companies around Austin, it was ultimately the sense of genuine honesty and caring from Annemarie that made TRS Build the obvious choice.
TRS Build guided us through the entire process, from design to construction, taking care to work around our busy lives (we had a baby and broke ground at nearly the same time!). During the design phase, TRS Build provided several options based on our general ideas and some photos of rooms/styles we liked. We also had several iterations of material selection based on choices presented by the team which helped us not be overwhelmed with the immense variety that exists.
After design, came the long wait for permits, which honestly was the toughest part of the entire experience. TRS Build handled all of this for us, and communicated often to ensure we knew the status and what to expect next. Ultimately this step was entirely up to the city and out of our hands.
Once permits were granted we moved to the exciting and chaotic construction stage. At this point we had a newborn and spent a few months sleeping in our living room or at our in-laws'. TRS Build was completely understanding of our situation and though there were many new faces and noises throughout the day, we never felt like our lives were too disrupted by the construction. One thing I'd like to add is that, while sometimes communication was a bit delayed, all of my questions and requests were ultimately addressed to my satisfaction.
In the end, it's difficult to convey just how happy we are with the job done by TRS Build. Our family was quickly outgrowing the space, and the addition designed and built by TRS Build has given us some much needed breathing room. We now have a beautiful master bedroom and a sanctuary of a master bathroom that includes a walk in shower & tub area which our entire family (kids included) absolutely love. In fact, we look forward to family bath time because the wet room makes it so easy! We're a few months post-construction now and I can still confidently say without a doubt that we are so happy we chose TRS Build for our project and will happily choose them again for future projects.
Thank you again to Annemarie, Shaniko, Jenny, Gaby, Irama, Mary, and all the subs!

I used TRS Build for to remodel my home in Cedar Park and I’m very pleased with how it all turned out. Annemarie and the whole team were always courteous and professional. The kitchen and bathrooms turned out looking really nice. And I really like their recommendations to transform my fireplace. I get lots of complements on it. My home finally feels like a home thanks to TRS Build. A+ service.

We hired TRS to do an addition and partial kitchen remodel. It’s been almost 7 months since we moved back into our home 12/14/2021. TRS did not pass the final inspection until 3/14/22. After the final inspection, we asked TRS to come over and do a final walk through so we could discuss the issues we had found with their work. TRS advised us at that time that they had already done a final walkthrough (without us) in December of 2021 and they demanded final payment (We had paid 95%). They stated they would not come over to look at the problems until after we paid them the remaining balance. Changes were made to our home until March 2022. We asked Shaniko&AnnMarie multiple times to come over and they refused. We found it difficult to understand how they felt proud of their work when they did their “final walk through”. We have incorrect siding on our home which is a pretty huge oversight.
Was it an oversight that caused our entire tile floor to be installed incorrectly? We hired a tile inspector ($750) to prove that the tile floor was installed incorrectly. The tile inspector’s report shows that every step of the tile floor installation was done incorrectly. We were told that the lower cabinets in our kitchen would be potentially damaged when the old countertop was removed and the area would need a change order to repair. No mention was ever made of the damage, instead TRS put the new countertop on without making any repairs. We have holes and unevenness all along the underside of the countertop. One of these holes face our dining area and can be easily seen. Yet, somehow this passed the TRS “final walk through” that was done without us.
Other areas that were terrible were:
-You can see drywall taping and floating on several walls
-The back deck slopes even though the foundation is new and we used Trex Decking.
-The door to the garage looks like a hotel room/office building exit because TRS used a cheap fix in hopes of passing code. Shaniko said they would fix the door but that hasn’t happened.
-The lights flicker and the breakers often flip-even though all the electrical is brand new.
-The windows have adhesive/silicone that is not removable in several spots. These are 5’ x 7’ windows which should look beautiful looking out into our backyard. Instead they are smeared.
-TRS foundation crew did not follow the structural engineer report and we had to pay $3000 extra for additional structural engineering so that they could fix what the TRS did.
-Multiple incorrect billing invoices. All were overcharges.
-Our home was left unlocked three times during the project. On two of these occasions the doors were left completely open.
-Our new island cabinets are 2” shorter than the original cabinets that back up to it. The original cabinets are 2” from the floor but TRS “custom made cabinets” are 4” from the floor.
-Communication was difficult with TRS. Many questions/concerns went unanswered and were never addressed or only partially addressed.

I highly recommend the entire team at The Right Stage Building and Remodeling. They were professionals from the first day to the last ensuring that our entire job was well done and completed to our satisfaction. Shaniko and AnneMarie are not only talented professionals themselves, but they also employ professionals who are very talented and we want to add our special thanks to Jenny and Gabriela for their help throughout the process. All members of the team were very available to answer all questions and address any concerns and changes we had. We could not be more pleased with the end result.

The Right Stage was an absolute pleasure to work with. I worked with the Right Stage to remodel (almost) my entire house with a focus on main living areas and kitchen. Their spirit of collaboration and transparency led to the best possible outcome - a house that is loved by the owner as well as guests! I would use them for any future remodeling efforts.

We hired The Right Stage for our much needed kitchen remodel. We are quite happy with the final outcome and were very pleased with the overall process. Shaniko has outstanding project management skills and Annemarie is extremely detail oriented and provides exceptional ongoing communication from start to finish. Their construction team are a bunch of pros. Our floors, cabinets, countertops and backsplash are such an improvement and we’re really loving our new kitchen! We’re looking forward to hiring The Right Stage for our next home project.

We have never used a remodeling company before as you hear the horror stories of how some companies show up then never come back. We also had contacted 2 other companies for bids - they would come to view the project and never contact us back with an estimate. Right Stage showed up on time and let us know when they were on there way from the beginning. We were pleased that we were kept in the loop with the process and that workers were on site and worked for the entire time that they were at our home. We did have a few changes but Right Stage always incorporated our changes into the plan and limited any down time. I was able to contact Right Stage any time and they were quick to respond. This happened during Covid and the workers used masks and kept distance during any face to face communications. We would recommend and will use them again for our next project!

We hired The Right Stage to renovate our outdoor patio. We had been searching for years and when we met Shaniko and Annemarie, we knew we were finally going to make our dream a reality.
They first came to our home to survey the space and then they LISTENED to what we were envisioning. They didn't try to sell us on anything. They just listened and that was really big for us. They were prompt with a quote and adjusted it as we figured out more of what we wanted. We had a two man team on our property most of the time doing the demo, concrete, and build. THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!! We watched them everyday and they are some of the hardest working people I've ever seen. Shaniko came by EVERYDAY to inspect the work. Let me say that again...The owner of this business came onsite to check out the work himself everyday.
At the end, we are thrilled with our patio. We knew exactly what was happening and when it was happening throughout the project. We plan on hiring them again for our next project

You came to us with a design created at your direction using professional services. This design lacked several elements including the siding you claim to be “incorrect.” We installed siding that matched the majority of the home, the siding that was included in the work scope we created together. Our policy change - where a client comes to us with a pre-existing design, we will recreate (and improve it) using our tools and our collaborative design process.
In addition to not paying the final invoice, you all refused to pay for several thousands of dollars of valid change orders, responding that you “don’t have money.” We provided goodwill discounts to bring to code work that had been done in the past, only to later be told that you were waiting on us to begin additional projects. Even with your refusal to pay for our work, and the challenges presented to our team (for example, being refused access to the site which delayed the job), we completed all inspections, including the foundation inspection performed by your engineer, and finalized the permit.
We fixed several items, at no charge, we believe were issues not related to our work. In one case we were told by your husband we needed to paint a wall damaged by our team, and our team had photos that showed the marks were there prior to our work. With your kitchen cabinets, we strongly recommended replacing due to poor condition and we offered an incredibly good price to replace them. Our policy change - we will not perform any work on or with cabinets we believe need to be replaced.
You brought in painters and then expected us to fix the work of the painters you brought in. Our policy change - to set stronger expectations with our clients about bringing in other contractors during the project, and include this expectation in our contractual terms.
Midway through the project you all sent a list of items to address, we requested a call to go over them and you did not participate. After receiving another list we asked that you meet us on site and you refused. We had an expected date of completion for the end of November, we invited you to participate in a final walk in early December and you refused, stating you would put up blue tapes. We addressed all items and you moved into the addition early December. Our policy change - clients must meet us on site to perform walkthroughs.
You refused to make payment, and we continued work on a few exterior items to close the permit. During inspections, your husband Jim tried to get the inspector to fail us - twice - by pointing out items Jim insisted were incorrectly done. The inspector (like our team) disagreed with you, yet Jim reported to our team that the inspector said these items failed, which was not true.
Because of issues with lack of collaboration and cooperation, we requested to meet with the help of a trained mediator, which in the end was unsuccessful. Immediately upon receiving your email re: flooring we responded that we look forward to finding a path forward, we reached out to a mediator, found their earliest availability, and communicated those to you within 24 hours of receiving your email. We look forward to that meeting and hope for a productive result. We have other reviews where our clients note that we have readily addressed warranty issues, even after the warranty period has expired, in order to give our clients the service they deserve.
We believe that all people are created equal, by the same creator, who has the same love for each of us. And as such we are all brothers and sisters, part of one family. We hope the best for you all and that we can come to a solution at our meeting that was already scheduled when you posted your review.
