Avoid Mr. Balaji if you value your time, money, and sanity. Mr. Balaji may present decent-looking designs, but has no real understanding of execution or practicality. Even with a fully pre-designed kitchen layout provided to him, he failed to deliver something usable. Basic aspects like correct measurements, accessibility, and functionality were completely ignored. Despite multiple iterations, he took nearly two months to make minor changes—and still got it wrong. His standard response: “You tell me what you want, I’ll do it.” That is not design. That is a clear lack of expertise. A professional designer’s role is to guide the client, ensure practicality, and bridge the gap between ideas and execution—not blindly follow instructions. We were forced to terminate due to delays and incompetence. He is now refusing to exit the contract or refund the advance, even after offering to compensate him for his time. This experience has been a complete waste of time, money, and energy on an important home project. Proceed only if you are ready to micromanage everything yourself—and still risk poor results.
