We have used Shelby over the past year for various projects in our home including choosing paint colors, furniture, rugs and related decor. She has both brought items to our house to try and also accompanied me to shop. She learned my tastes and also suggested some things that were different than my usual. We have loved the results and get compliments all of the time on our home. Shelby is professional, knowledgeable and took our budget into consideration when making suggestions. We would highly recommend her.

Shelby and I have worked together in the past, and I most recently reached out to her again when we started building our new house. She helped me from the start picking out lighting, tiling, countertops, interior and exterior paint colors, plumbing fixtures...everything. We also worked together to plan the layout of the rooms in the new house. She helped me determine what of my current furniture, rugs, art, accessories would work in the new house and what we would need to purchase. Since Shelby and I have worked together in the past, she is familiar with both my husband's and my style prefrences. She tries to incorporate both of us in the finished product. She also gently nudges me out of my comfort zone sometimes, and I always love the outcome! I am sure I will work with Shelby in the future.

I have worked with Shelby at Abode Interiors on several projects in my home, both big and small. She has helped me with furniture, pillows, decorative accents as well as a recent remodel. We added a bedroom and two bathrooms. Shelby designed the room as well as picked out all fixtures, vanities, tile, carpet, etc. She always worked efficiently and in a timely manner. She consistently gave me options of different styles and price points. I plan on relying on Shelby's expertise for many future projects, I would happily recommend her to my family and friends.

I hired them to paint the upstairs bedrooms in our newly purchased home. A real pleasure to work with. The office staff was very responsive and the installers did a careful job. Will be calling them again for future paint projects.

We recently used Shelby for design and paint color advice for our kitchen and home in general and could not be happier! Shelby has beautiful taste and an amazing eye for color. We were having our maple cabinets painted, our wallpaper removed and kitchen walls painted. Shelby had come over and assessed the house and we had come up with a plan, but we were still in the decision making process. The painter we chose had an opening due to rain and needed paint color choices the next day! I called Shelby in a panic and she called me right back on a Sunday night(!) and said she would come the next day to pick out our colors. Amazing! Shelby was able to pick a warm gray (I didn't know there was such a thing!) for my bottom cabinets and a warm white for the top to go with my existing light colored wood floors and the existing wall color in our family room. She also chose the kitchen wall color which brought the whole kitchen together. Shelby offered valuable design advice for refinishing our floors as well. She likes to work with what you have and works to define your personal style. Definitely not cookie cutter! Shelby was very conscious of the small budget we had to work with. She also did not mind working on such a small job as ours. Our kitchen now looks updated and fresh! I highly recommend Shelby. Over the last six months, Shelby has re-designed and decorated the living areas in the first floor of our house (living room, dining room, sun room, hallway). Until I started working with Shelby, I wasn't sure if buying our home had been a mistake -- I had spent over a year with these awkward empty spaces with colors and fixtures I hated and had no idea where to start. Shelby has literally transformed our lives by creating a beautiful space I'm happy to come home to every day. When I first met with Shelby, she took the time to really understand my style, look at photos I had collected, and understand how we wanted to use the space. As a result, she knows exactly what I would like and dislike in colors, fabrics, art, and has really pulled together a set of rooms that looks like *my* home. At the same time, she is not shy about expressing her opinion and I really trust her expertise -- it can be rather delicate navigating around clients expressed tastes while also helping them aspire to something greater, and Shelby really does this with finesse! Shelby has done an incredible job helping us manage our budget and find great deals to stretch the budget farther. For example, after identifying a lighting fixture that might work in the LR she suggested I bid for it on eBay where I could get the lowest price rather than suggesting I source it through one of her dealers. When I stopped by an interiors store to look at one of the rugs she thought might be a good fit for me, the salesman told me he was shocked she would let me in to see the prices without marking them up. This is a woman of integrity! I absolutely trust that she has her customers' best interest at heart. Most importantly, Shelby is just delightful to work with. In addition to being talented, she is warm, fun and thoughtful. I look forward to working with her on the rest of my house!

I got a color consult and was thrilled with the results. Shelby was very knowledgable , patient and had a great attitude even though the painters were in the process of removing popcorn from the ceilings. She went out of her way to accomodate my last minute appointment as another designer didn't work out. I am looking forward to working with her with the rest of my decorating.
