Tween Girls' Cozy Retreat | Before & After

The goal in this tween girl’s bedroom was to make it more organized, cozy and serene (less visually stimulating) for a young tween girl with special needs. She wanted dark chocolate walls, her favorite color, and some sort of jungle feeling to the room. The cornice was designed to give the bed a grand feeling and play off the magnificent tall ceilings, but the soft panels on either side and the warm brown walls help maintain a cozy feeling. We added touches of animal print with items that could easily be changed out in the future (throw pillows, accessories, zebra print chair and artwork) as she grew older and her tastes changed.
