After. We painted the fireplace the same Behr color “Etched Glass” (MQ3-27) as the walls on the main level and added two new built-ins on either side to create a focal point for the room. The brass firebox surround was painted black and the existing mantel re-stained. It takes on a whole new look with these simple changes. The built-ins are from Brave Custom Woodworking, painted in the color “Chantilly Lace.”
