A very extraordinary room was created for the kids: the Wonka room, also hand-sculpted and painted by Jason Hulfish, is a place off the beaten path where “…the kids’ imaginations can run wild,” says Don. “I think of it as a learning space that will stimulate their minds yet at the same time be a place with no purpose at all.” The room is filled with beanbag chairs, a cave, chalkboards, puzzles, two homework stations and bright bears. Everything has to stay in the room, so it becomes a special place. “Milo goes there when he wants to get away; it’s like his own little world,” Don has noticed.
