Hand carved stone corbel. Stone Entryway on Historic Stone House restoration in Boulder, Colorado. A new addition required matching of stone masonry from 1912. The work included hand carved stone corbels, grapevine mortar joint, ashlar pattern and blending of old and freshly quarried stone. The historic quarries had long closed down and are now part of the City of Boulder Open Space Parks - inaccessable. We hand dressed the stones as they were done in 1912 and hand selected each stone for the walls & patios. Award from Boulder Historical Society for outstanding craftsmanship - 1997.
