Some Like It Modern

Sophisticated, Modern Interiors for an Existing House in San Francisco, California’s Noe Valley Neighborhood Our clients for this remodel became acquainted with our work while touring an open house we had designed in San Francisco’s Noe Valley. They purchased a nearby house and turned to the task of updating it to give it the modern sophistication they had seen in our work. Their new house had recently been remodeled, but it lacked openness and fluidity in plan. By involving the general contractor early on and reusing many of the existing finishes and appliances, we were able to achieve this colorfully modern and intricately detailed remodel on schedule - within three months. The focal point is the relocated kitchen with a cantilevered Ceasarstone bar over a wenge base. The kitchen design transitions seamlessly into a new wall unit complete with fireplace, mantel and built-in wenge shelving. We enhanced the openness of the space and the flow of natural light by removing an interior stair and concealing existing beams and soffits under a new dropped ceiling containing recessed lighting.
