Outside Inside House
The client wanted a cubby house for the children in the design of this new home. The problem was that there were no existing large trees in which to build a cubby house and if there had been a cubby house would have blocked the panoramic view of the river. So we resolved to use the large difference in level across the site to build a cave as the cubby house for the children. We set this within a 'Jurassic' landscaped garden. The added advantage here was that the grandparents have a lovely view out of their window onto their grandchildren at play as they live in the house next door.
