Thus christened, “the off grid house”, is a home designed with the hope of commemorating architecture as a method and means to provide a resident with an individual identity while continuously establishing their responsibility towards their immediate environment. Completed under a modest budget, the house now attracts interest from local neighbours and developers hopefully setting a precedent of how small buildings can impact the urban built fabric without any added ‘costs’.
