Modern Family Kitchen

The brief was to create a family kitchen that would stand the test of time (and grandchildren!) whilst providing a practical space for the avid cooks in the family. A modern take on traditional, classic styling incorporated birch ply cabinetry with slab doors featuring square grooves to create a wide plank effect, all finished in Farrow & Ball Blackened. Push catches were used to keep the lines clean and Silestone worktops in a suede finish (with a matching chopping board made from the hob cutout to reduce waste) completed the modern, understated aesthetic. Colour and individual character were injected into the space with an open bookcase to display treasured, well-used cookbooks, always easily on hand.
