Scott Buley, High Tech Turf & Trees We planted 1.5+ acres of new grass here, and renovated another 1.5+ acres of existing turf. Included using High Tech turf equipment to grade earth with an articulated Ferrari tractor with multiple fine grading tools and putting green aerifiers, seeder-slicers, and spike seeders. No mulch was required as we imprinted seed into the soil and culti-packed it as well. All soil amendments were cultivated into the newly planted ground with Lely Roterra ("egg-beater" style "rototillers") to homogeneously mix lime, gypsum and fertilizer evenly throughout the soil profile, without compacting a hard-pan beneath the root zone. This vastly improves drainage. We also utilized a Turf Mole-Plough subsoiler to further drain the sward.
