King & Sullivan

In Brooklyn’s Red Hook district – currently undergoing a large scale redevelopment phase – AA Studio has designed 22 apartments thus redesigning the panorama of this attractive street. The unique feature of this King & Sullivan project is the use of powerful architectural elements; arches and façade materials: bricks, terracotta, weathering steel and steel thus reinterpreting the buildings’ earlier characteristics in modern style. GD Arredamenti designed the bathroom furniture using a custom made solution featuring a wood-steel contrast. Thanks to its partnership with Fantin; who made the black powder-coated frame for the master bathrooms; GD Arredamenti furnished the 22 house (including master bathrooms, secondary bathrooms and powder rooms) with elements reflecting the architectural philosophy of the housing units as a whole. Bathroom vanities doors are made of heat-treated oak veneer. Project: AA Studio
