This project focused on creating a balanced lighting scene for the front of the house. Our primary focal point being the facade of stone and brick on the front of the home. We also wanted to balance the home with the softness of the trees in the landscape. The peeling bark of the river birch trees always makes an interesting subject to light and the spruce tree in the corner of the yard made a good visual focal point as you walk up the sidewalk to the front door. The overall look of how the lighting effects the house and trees will vary with the season and the oncoming leaves of spring and summer. Shadows and patterns will emerge and create more interest on the structure of the house at that time. Photo by: Tim Ryan
