Historic Home, Derbyshire UK

Our home in Derbyshire (UK) dates from 1799, built to palladian principles as the provinces played Regency catch-up. I traced occupants back to the originals; a butcher named Agnes and her family - hordes of children and not a chap in sight (except a suspicious 'uncle' popping up occasionally (pardon the expression)). I followed the family line and found her descendants in a nearby village. We invited them round and it was a delight to see them see where Agnes swung her happy cleaver! Now we're a Grade II Listed building and boy oh boy is THAT a charming challenge...
