Hardie tudor siding in West Bloomfield

James Hardie traditional tudor style siding project using HardiPanel in stucco style. This West Bloomfield home was becoming an expensive and ongoing maintenance issue for the homeowners. Being 40 years old with a considerable amount of exposed wood trim boards, caulk and paint were no longer a viable option to keep this home in good condition. Wood trim that is only 3/4" thick and 6" wide begins to warp and twist over years' exposure to the elements. This home was first wrapped with Tyvek, an efficient housewrap that eliminates drafts while allowing the structural wood walls of the home to breathe, creating much more efficient walls that saves energy on the heating and cooling bills. Properly installed aluminum flashing eliminates leaks and issues at transitions. Solarseal 900 adhesive sealant (caulk) is used at all seams in our tudor style Hardie jobs.
