Gold Series

The racks are working beautifully, as envisioned. I and my contractor drew up the plans for the custom wine cellar. It was build on an outside, unused garden space that is about four feet below floor level. So there is a sunken feature to its position, and as you walk in the front door you look directly across the entrance and past a large window that shows off the cellar and racks. If one then goes to the right and around to the dining room, it looks at the back end through the glass doors into the cellar directly on the other side. I have the cellar walls and ceiling covered with reclaimed (old) redwood - sandblasted. Being near Napa especially, we have a wine barrell at the center with a special faucet/sink and redwood slab in between the lower and upper racks. Have interior sconces, etc. The one missing element: I have not yet finished the custom stained glass that will rest above the sink (. I do the stained glass work. Just too much going on right now.). So there is a black space at this point. Better photos with stained glass window in a month or two! A very nice upgrade from a "dead space" that we saw when we bought the house last April. We had to do much custom work but it came out and is so easy to access wine at this point! (BTW, keep it at 56 degrees.) - Bob Tremelling
