It was a four poster bed that a furniture maker made in America and they asked us if we could make them something similar and we jumped at the chance. Being commissioned to create a bespoke piece like this is always a joy! Jim made a mock-up of the tricky leg joints a few times and there was a fair amount of head scratching too until we got it right. We were as thrilled with the results as the clients were. The house is the newest house we have ever had the pleasure to work in and the bedroom looks like something out of grand designs with all the light flooding in the windows and the bed looks very happy here! Finger pull handle details to the large drawers keep the contemporary design clean while added extra storage. These drawers are on full extension soft close runners, they glide beautifully smoothly. The bed has been meticulously finished in several coats of Osmo oil. From the clients: "Jim’s craftsmanship matched our vision perfectly.
