Entertainment Wall

This entertainment wall was the typical AZ wall with drywall niches to the left of an out of place fireplace. The niche shelves were far too deep and lacked personality. I designed this unit to add texture and interest to a very plain room, detracting from it's "bowling alley" appearance. (Long, narrow room) This unit is a combination of slate ledgestone, hung on the vertical versus horizontally, sleek, flat panel cabinetry and lighting in all of the right places. This room was fun to create, adding elegant Asian touches like the chandelier in the Entry and blending it with the Mediterranean feel of the laser cut medallion below it. I also took full advantage of the recesses in the other walls (niches) by painting them with an interesting punch of color. Using a herringbone patterned berber carpet brought in an additional layer of textural interest and is very comfortable under foot, when used with an extra thick pad.
