East Bell

This iconic addition is a riff on the original structure. The simple hipped roof over square plan was repeated at a smaller scale, and twisted to respond to the site. Contrasting with the original single window openings, the addition's mass is peeled away at the rear corner. The gridded window system suggests that the frame that lies behind the stucco skin has been revealed.
