Dallas, Texas - Private Estate
Details are at the heart of this landscape. Ornamental old-world urns filled with ivies and soft yucca, window boxes with dramatically draping perennials hanging over garage doors, an oversized sugar kettle overflowing with potato vine and seasonal color, a highly detailed large scale urn brought from Mississippi all add to the uniqueness and charm of this garden.
Much attention was paid to the issue of drainage and irrigation. French drains lined the lawn and garden areas as well as the creek bed thus allowing water to be carried to the front of the house. Four inch PVC pipes were installed inside of the pots to bring irrigation to the pots as well as allow water to run back out through the pipes. This ensures that water won’t be standing on the hardscapes.
