Crocus Hill Kitchen

After moving from Boston to the Crocus Hill neighborhood, these St. Paul homeowners wanted a more contemporary appearance for their new home. This mindfully modern overhaul brings this home up to date while maintaining much of the original design. The renovated kitchen now has a half-wall that connects it to the rest of the first-floor. Custom beech-wood cabinets with flat modern fronts compliment the Brazilian cherry floor. The design of the front stairway mirrors the contemporary craftsman style of the kitchen. Brazilian cherry stair treads match the kitchen’s floors. New streamlined balusters and a new porcelain tile floor make this entryway feel welcoming and graceful. Photography by Troy Thies
