Contemporary Delight

Our brief was to find more space for our clients who were keen cooks: more storage, and more bench space, especially around the cooktop. After constructing 2 new nib walls, one around the new full height pantry, and one that partially enclosed the stairs, our designer was able to seamlessly expand the kitchen footprint to allow more space for a statement island bench. This bench also offered more hidden storage in the bar back cabinets and space for a bar fridge. Additionally one full height and one under bench pull out pantry were also included to further maximise use of storage space, as well as large drawers and kick drawers. This left the area around the induction cooktop completely free and uncluttered. The soft grey matt cabinetry makes a gentle transition between living and kitchen spaces, while the gloss off white elements introduce more light into the workspaces. The black Zimbabwe granite makes a bold statement and the whole colour scheme is pulled together by the marble-look porcelain splashbacks.
