AFTER PHOTO...Family Room

In the original floor plan, there was a wall that separated the family room and kitchen. We created an open floor plan by removing that wall, created an arched opening between the two rooms, and relocated the pantry as well as the powder room where there was once a coat closet. The fireplace mantle was painted white and the surround was revived with an onyx stone. The original molding and trim were stained a dark brown color so we updated and brightened the space by painting the trim a bright white and the walls with Sherwin-Williams Drift of Mist. We also removed the carpet, installed hardwood flooring and finished them with a Walnut stain.
