Laminates are one of the most popular decorative materials that are used for surfacing cabinets, furniture, walls, ceilings, external facades and so on. The thickness of these laminates ranges between 0.6 millimetre to 1.5 millimetres, and they are available in the form of sheets with a standard size of 8x4 feet. Learn about the costs of different types of laminates (from premium brands) that can be used for the interiors and exteriors of your home.

Please note the costs are approximate (as in the year 2019) and are variable depending on the thickness, finish and design of the sheet. These costs are subject to change according to different regions.

  • The cost of 1-millimetre-thick matte-finish laminates starts at ₹1200 per sheet.

2. Textured laminate
  • Textured laminates simulate the look of different natural surfaces such as nappa leather, raw silk, suede, stone stucco finishes and so on. Textured finishes can be used to bring in an element of depth into any space.
  • Avoid using these laminates in the kitchen because the textured laminate may have the tendency to trap a lot of dirt and grime, which might become difficult to maintain.
  • The cost of 1-millimetre-thick textured laminates starts at ₹1500 per sheet, depending on the type of texture and design of the laminate sheet.

3. Gloss-finish laminate
  • Glossy laminates have a mirror-like sheen and a reflective surface that adds a lot of brightness into any space.
  • Gloss-finish laminates give a premium look to the interiors and are available in various colours. One drawback about this type of laminate is that the surface tends to show smudges and fingerprints easily.
  • The cost of 1-millimetre-thick glossy laminates starts at ₹2000 per sheet.
