Jib Door
You might just pass this door by if you didn't know it was there
A jib door is nearly invisible, or at least disguised from being recognized as a door. It may have the same moldings or wall treatment as the surrounding wall, but door hardware is usually absent.
Most jib doors don't have hardware, keeping their purpose concealed, but this one has a simple door pull.
This jib door looks like the rest of the vertical tongue and groove wall when it's closed.
Disguised as a bookcase, this jib door opens to an additional seating area.
A jib door at half height can hide attic spaces within knee walls.
This kitchen jib door, the panel with the chalkboard, opens to a pantry.
Even wallpaper can disguise a jib door. The baseboard at the bottom of the door also helps.
