12 Ways to Warm Up Your Bath
Take the chill off mornings with plush fabrics, warming lights, radiant floors and more
Baths are by necessity built with smooth cleanable surfaces, so they are often hard and cold to the touch. Now that fall is here, let's warm this place up. You can make your bathroom much more cozy for the cooler months with additions as simple as a plush bathmat, fabric shower curtain and towel warmer. Or you can go all out with radiant floor heating and a built-in fireplace. Take a look at some of these big and small ways to take the chill off your mornings. Which idea do you like best?
1. Candles and ambient lighting. Candlelight adds instant coziness and makes us feel pampered. It is also one of the most flattering lights out there.
Decorative ambient lighting goes a long way in a bath. The wrought-iron chandelier and sconces suit this Mediterranean-style bath.
2. Towel warmer. These add luxury to your bathing experience. Who wouldn't want a toasty towel to dry off with? When you're done, hang up your damp towel and let the warmer dry it for you.
3. Fireplace. Take time to indulge yourself with a long hot bath. If you are lucky enough to have a fireplace in your bathroom, don't forget to light it!
5. Natural elements. The tree trunk side table, fur rug and woven orb bring the warmth of nature inside.
6. Abundance of towels. An ample supply of towels feels welcoming and luxurious.
Select a few in sunny tones to brighten up the bath.
7. Heavier fabric. Switch out the light sheer fabrics of your window covering and shower curtain with selections that reflect the season.
8. Area rug. In an all-tile bath, sound echoes off the hard surfaces. A rug absorbs sound and makes us forget we are in a bathroom.

Broan Infrared Bulb Heater
