Addition To Log Cabin
The lit cubbies for display, the detail to the face f the island, the glass table top, the overall lightness of the space, the combination of rectilinear and curved lines
Love the door!
Walnut doors and the grain continuity
Cabinet doors, continuous grain
Cabinets and white, open shelves, black window trim...everything
Electrical outlet strip tucked up under counter. Love the walnut. Do NOT like the strips of wood on the island base.
The steel siding, I think this would look good with the log.
Beam cantilevers out to support a structural rim board. Cantilever is 7’3
Prefer no supports for the overhang though if required these are different and not boring.
I love the entry and the overhangs
Cool support for roof!
Wood colours, if we can match the floor colours with the grout in the log walls that might help tie the spaces together too. The grout is basically cement.
Maybe, instead of a cool shelving unit, we could do an inset with lighting like this for my glass collection. This would be near the front of the house not in the addition. If the back wall of the inset matched the large backsplash material that could also tie the two spaces together.
Standard doors and windows look heavy in black. If we have to go this route then wood trim would be better.
Opening windows are low...no interruption to main site lines. Being short this would work best for me too.
Cantilever roof
Ceiling and floor continue outside, same in as out.
Glass stair steps! Wire railings, steel frame
Commercial glass floor to ceiling
The space between the windows and the transom allows for additional lighting and art display...if wanted
We like the windows with the wood...it might work well to tie the two spaces together.
Open, wood ceiling, tile flooring (maybe larger) windows look good and there are opening windows.
Dark floors, industrial glass.
Industrial glass walls,
Not this
Commercial glass is clean, ie few lines add to feeling of lightness.
One look, traditional doors and windows
Too many changes in materials, the floors don’t match. Curious about the openings in the cantilevered roof..., provides more light but no rain or sun shelter...hmmm
Like the floor and narrow shower but not grey!
This has been my plan for a while...to have a large feature wall behind stove, we don’t like waterfall islands
Colour and texture of cabinets contrasting against the white countertops, but I don’t like the floor...too dark.
Large feature wall behind stove
Island with seating either side, love the lights!
Dark cabinets no uppers, floating shelves. I prefer a lighter warmer wood tone but this is almost exactly how I see the wall behind the stove (except with a giant slab of stone)
Feature wall / headboard with built in lights
Unique headboard, wall behind bed and built in reading lights
Scullery with built in towel racks on back wall, stainless steel counters
Patterned tile inside white border looks like a rug!
seamless floor into shower, not sure if we can do this upstairs...
Yes
Large natural stone backsplash, wood extension of hood allows for open shelving, clean simple lines of cabinets, long handles,
Drawers for pots and pans beside oven
Love the lights over the island but this look is much woodier than what we want. A White Island counter top would be better
Love the vanity
