What an amazing wall! “used an emphasis on natural and eco-friendly methods and materials by adding a textured plaster treatment to the wall. It has the look of wood that underwent shou-sugi-ban, the Japanese technique of burning wood to seal and treat it.”

Q

Photo

I love these ceiling tiles, used as a backsplash and to grace the back side of an island. It looks like a special paint effect was used on them, to give an oily and painterly effect.

The Tempaper Collection

Q

Tempaper has thoroughly removable wallpaper… perfect for renters. I really love this pattern.

Tangier Area Rug, 5'x8'

Q

This looks like a contemporary version of a rag rug or hooked rug! I love the colours, and the many circles. It seems outlining it in black helps to bring it out and define it. "The ultra-plush pile is hand tufted using upcycled cotton material repurposed from the garment industry."

Surya SCI-36 Scion Area Rug, 5' x 8', Mustard/Cream

Q

I LOVE, scratch that, ADORE the oversized simple yet imperfect pattern on the Surya Scion Rug! Very mid-century modern feel to it. 100% wool, made in New Zealand.

These large format dark tiles, with a bit of a subtle wavy pattern, would be great in a bath. "Tile Technology is becoming more and more advanced they are now producing Porcelain Tile up to a whopping 2.4m x 1.2m in size. This Stone Project from Leonardo in Italy is 1.2m x 1.2m and looks amazing."

Q

I love the charcoal colour of these concrete-look tiles. The extra-large format is great, too. "Tile Technology is becoming more and more advanced they are now producing Porcelain Tile up to a whopping 2.4m x 1.2m in size. This Stone Project from Leonardo in Italy is 1.2m x 1.2m and looks amazing."

closeup of the floor lets you really see the subtle tone-on-tone of the tile floors. Described as ‘polished concrete effect’.

Q

Photo

This is such a great look! These floors not only look like concrete, but have a lovely subtle pattern in them. Described as ‘polished concrete effect’. Of course, the huge unframed piece of art behind the low-slung sofa combines to the modern effect.

Q

Photo

detail of the ‘polished concrete effect’ tiles. I love the various speckles and patterns in the concrete wall of this kitchen… or it may be tiles that effectively look like concrete.

Q

Photo

Excellent super close-up of these ‘concrete effect tiles’. You can see the details of the pebbled matte surface. I would love floors like these, but perhaps in a charcoal colour. I love the apparent randomness, combining squares and rectangles of different widths.

Q

Photo

this photo shows the details of these ‘concrete effect tiles’. You can see the texture, the nice matte surface, the minimal grout lines. I really like how the tiles combine squares and rectangles of various widths, for less uniformity and more randomness.

Q

Photo

Not only do I really love these “concrete effect tiles” (are they made of concrete? Or just a good simulation?), but I love how it combines different tile sizes and widths. I like the very thin, minimal grout lines, too.

Q

Photo

lovely floors that look like slate. I love the nice, large size of the tiles, too. Described as ‘polished concrete effect’. It may be a tile simulation of concrete. If so, very good simulation.

Q

Photo

detail of the terrazzo-look tile walls. Very nice! Described as ‘polished concrete effect’, so it may be tiles that look like concrete instead of actual concrete. If so, it’s a very good effect.

Q

Photo

The walls look like terrazzo. I love the pattern of them, but also how large they are: I much prefer large tiles than small for bathrooms: the larger apparent surfaces makes the room flow better and look larger, and there is less grout or areas for mould to grow in. These are described as “polished concrete effect”, so may be simulated instead of actual concrete. I love the terrazzo look!

Q

Photo

I like the texture and charcoal colour of these floors, they look like slate. It says these are ‘polished concrete effect’… If not concrete, then these are a very nice simulation.

Q

Photo

I like the concrete look of tiles on wall & floor, as well as the narrow-patterened tiles on far left of photo. It describes this as ‘polished concrete effect’. If not actual concrete, it is a very good simulation.

Q

Photo

Very nice concrete look on the walls & floors. It says this is ‘polished concrete effect’. So, not sure if it is actual concrete, or just a very effective simulation...

You could certainly decorate a room around this vibrant, rich, painterly palette. This is a gorgeous reclaimed wood mirror.

Zoe Wodarz Indigo Ikat Fleece Throw Blanket

Q

I love the energy of this pattern, and its very retro-inspired pattern. Colours are beautiful together. I really would love to buy this Zoe Wodarz Indigo it fleece throw blanket. Lge. size is 80" x 60" for $99, medium size is 60" x 50" for @ $79, and there is even a small 40" x 30" size. Made by Deny Designs.

Q

Photo

The wall covering is with a jute wallpaper... somewhat reminiscent of barkcloth. Its texture beautifully complements the wooden night tables and other wooden furniture.
