for the guest room, I am still hoping to have a queen bed with the head under the window...will be crowded but if we keep it light...add accent colours later
Q
Photo
simple headboard in white or upholstered...red accents shown with accessories

similar view (double bed?)...bottom line: paint colour should be light neutral (same as hallway)

"headboard" could run along the whole wall below the window...added later in any accent colour / texture chosen

dark blue with white shelving accents and wood desk....nice

for front office, what about one (or more) wall(s) in the same dark blue as the groundfloor and other walls in the light neutral of the hallways?
Q

like the wall accent created above a white countertop

reminds me of the Maiolica 4" x 12" tile in blue but the one shown here seems bright (prefer the Maiolica)
Q

nice clean lines and fresh looking if tile used on wall or at least to wainscot level? or matching paint accent (but paint colour switch might make tile option similar $$)

could use the Maiolica 4" x 12" tile in blue....not heavily used area so tiled countertop could be okay. Lovely tones with simple white around it; can you mix that tile with a plain white subway?
