We are combining porcelain and marble in our new build. The shower floor will be marble and the walls porcelain. I think they combine beautifully. Because our marble has a lot of movement the porcelain we chose has very little...the floor is statuaretto porcelain (the tiles on the very bottom) the tiles laid on top are for the shower. Not seen are the vanity tops which are Carrara with a lot of gray marbling. I say go for it!!!
