Surprise! I love this for so many reasons! I think this is something like what we are going for in my room. I wish I could see the center bracket. Endcap finials would look just as great here, I believe, because the rod extends so close to the wall on either side.

This may be like what we are envisioning, but to me the balance looks a little off. Wimpy rod against the heavy/bold drapes? Also, the bracket in the middle is pretty unattractive.

Brackets and finials -- altho these finials are larger/heavier than what we're talking about, I'd like to be sure that the brackets look very finished on the wall, similar to this, since they'll be quite visible.
