pantry under stairs: space for pantry items, larger appliances (if not incorporated somewhere else), and additional cupboard for vacuum storage (but separated)
kitchen eat-in island with stools on opposite sides vs all on one. 4 stools like this facing each other for more interaction with kids and more functionality for actual meals. I think this will be approx size of island, with small prep sink. I like the drawers too.
