I'm in love with this idea of using some of the areas that can't grow grass as a bed for beautiful flowers. I love color and really want to be able to capture that with perennials. If hydrangeas can grow in Texas, let's do it!

I love this space! something that is both functional and eye appealing. Ideally, the backyard is a mixture of both beautiful plants and functional - as in, all the plants provide something to enrich the backyard. Whether that's food for humans or pollination for birds and bees

Backyard raised garden idea. I like the idea of having multiple raised gardens with rock on the ground. I don't like how tall this raised bed is for vegetables.

This would be nice to create along one of the walls (or facing the yard) on the patio. Not sure if there are shade tolerant plants that can work like this.
