would be nice way to incorporate lower end of path from secluded upper yard from formal patio on left, with cozy private fire pit area at lower level (right) walk out basement, into open two acre backyard for play. Could extend the retaining wall with left hand brick/stone edging to pathway, add plants down the hillside. nice!
develop some height and privacy around fire pit area that is completely exposed to neighbors
