I really like this kind of backsplash ledge above the range. Red is really bold and the horizontal mini tiles are going out of style. But when the colors are really similar to each other like this I don't mind them. Red is obviously bold

Not so sure about this green in particular as the color, but I kind of like the standard shiny brick tiles in a softened yet bold color that then matches other accents like the chair pads.
