This is a good pic of white kitchen, silver pulls, white subway tiles, grey counters...very bright and warm. (more windows in this kitchen of course) also, hate the green lights...

This is a good version of the black and white look: white cabinets, black pulls, black pendant lights, white subway tile with contrasting grout. I would not have white sink or black island and i would likely accent with some bright colors...not so severe like this one. remember our trim on windows is also white, so ours will feel much lighter.
