RoseLee, I love all of these ideas for that extra bedroom. It can open up into that bathroom to make it more of one room or it could be separate. I would LOVE to be able to enter the home through this room to have an area for them to drop backpacks etc....if you can wrap your head around that idea. Also.... I would love a larger pantry area if we can re work any of the current pantries or use some of the existing laundry room to make that closet pantry bigger.
