Onice Bianco at Stone Selection. I absolutely love this one. Elegant and beautiful. It's like being in the midst of clouds! Stone Selection doesn't say what the material is on their samples but looking up Onice Bianco on the internet it says it is onyx... Onyx countertops are not a good option for the kitchen. :-( However this would look great in the ensuite bathroom....

Butcher block with sink in the island. The butcher block surrounds the sink, is that a good idea? Do you want to avoid water splashing onto it?

I like this butcher block from Floform, it's end grain maple. Maple is the recommended wood for butcher block.
