Is it better to have a pull-out trash and recycling or a compactor? I'm leaning towards a compactor with space for recycling in the mudroom. Compost idea is nice but might get stinky (ignore cabinet fronts shown here) I WOULD HAVE A SPACE IN THE KITCHEN FOR TRASH AND RECYCLING. I LIKE THIS IDEA HERE...BUT AGREE ABOUT COMPOST. IT LOOKS LIKE THE LINER IS PLASTIC SO YOU CAN THROW IT IN THE DISHWASHER EVERYDAY AFTER YOU EMPTY IT. I DON'T LIKE COMPACTORS...BUT THAT'S JUST ME. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DECIDE.

I like the idea of a few open shelves somewhere in the kitchen and above the fridge seems like a reasonable place. However, I'm wondering if it might be too much to have some glass front cabinets, some regular AND open shelving

We do want a small tv somewhere in the kitchen. Does this make sense?
