The backsplash and the countertop are the same tumbled Jerusalem limestone as the floor. We laminated a piece on the front of each 3cm tile to make them appear to be 7cm thick. Whenever we grouted the tile, all the holes were filled and wiped smooth, followed by 3-4 applications of "Bulletproof" stone sealer.
