Circle tile

Q

Photo

This is, indeed, stunning. It could also work with alder, tho plain alder is not a dynamic as walnut.

Q

Photo

This is cool - having open shelving under the range top for pots and pans.

Q

Photo

even tho the sink drops down into the cabinets below the sink, i like that the door faces are full height.

Q

Photo

i like easy grab things. would never mess with hanging pots that need to be taken off hooks. one-handed motions rule. like the faucet.

Q

Photo

great pantry, but do NOT like open wire shelving

Q

Photo

do NOT like the open table/work station look of this. top too flimsy/out of balance. cluttered. legs too skinny.

Q

Photo

love (love, love) the look of the open work table, but dust and dog noses would be all over anything stored below

Q

Photo

Now this is clever and makes a ton of sense, as long as there is no leg/knee clearance issue.

Q

Photo

Lovely room. What are recycled paper cabinets????

Q

Photo

lots of cubbies

Q

Photo

I love the angled corner idea and have always wanted to stack the ovens in an angled corner.

Q

Photo

Forget all the other kitchen ideas. Just give us this house !!

Q

Sketch

Any way to use this idea and make a "dining table" that T's off of the island, rather than just follows its length. I suspect that would just make walking around it all the more cumbersome, however.

Q

Photo

another sink in pantry with beverage station.

Q

Photo

Don't like the looks of this (wood too yellow), but like the concept. and like one other key aspect - it not only serves as coffee cafe nook, but has microwave above. this frees up space in the oven stack for a steam oven also. downside is that our current microwave also sort of works as an oven, so having a microwave only isn't as helpful. but i'd still explore this. have a good friend who swears by her steamer. says it is just superb and cooks better veggies than any other way. so i'm looking into one. helpful for vegetarians.

Q

Photo

why am i seeing so many sinks it what would be the pantry? new trend? makes sense if some appliances are kept there.

Q

Sketch

what is checked item? this is really nice kitchen. huge, however, with two sinks.

Q

Photo

this is really nice curved corner work. No post in corner like usual.

Q

Photo

This is like the charcoal colored one - if we went back to original plan, we could make something like this the dining table.

Q

Photo

i really like this taupey gray wood

Q

Photo

This is so cool - three "ovens" in a line - love it.

Q

Photo

this seems to be an open pantry-style kitchen. everything out in open.

Q

Photo

Smart - in dead space. good idea.

Q

Photo

does a round table fit in the bay? I'd always heard the round tables actually took more space that square/rectangular ones because of chairs.

Q

Photo

great. remember this, if there is an end cap that could be a shallow cabinet.

Q

Photo

All sorts of big things (appliances) behind a door?

Q

Photo

cool - separate frig and freezer

Q

Photo

Great - but i don't want to have to bend down so far to get to plates.

Q

Photo

frig and wine cooler in pantry?

Q

Photo

pantry - counter - like !

Q

Photo

Back to the original design with pantry to east. No dining room. Have extended counter be dining table - chairs on both sides, not just one side. Room for two on end. Can use bay window space for other separate table (like we have now).

Q

Photo

hidden. what is below appliances?

Q

Photo

Interesting - looks like a pantry (tho huge), but there is also a kitchen sink. Not sure if this is a kitchen with open storage or a pantry with a sink. Some closed drawers might be nice.

Q

Photo

More pull out drawers

Q

Photo

Looks like all lowers are pull out shelf/drawers - good idea??? Gives better visibility.

Q

Photo

why are the beams suspended/cabled???

Q

Photo

Lazy Susan is actually a good idea.

Q

Photo

like the organized rows

Q

Photo

keep this idea in mind. great for hanging up those things left scattered about on the counter.

Q

Photo

single line hanging pot rack. I like this, unlike the oval one we have that gets all out of balance and has too much girth.

Q

Photo

the little drawers in the overhand are very clever - as long as they don't cut into knee space. but what a great idea of non-seating overhand places. let's definitely remember this !

Q

Photo

we do need wine storage

Q

Photo

flagged this just to comment on its cleverness.

Q

Photo

interesting -- the island IS the table. It doesn't seem to have appliances in it. That's a thought - tho i don't know how fun it is to totally be eating in the kitchen surrounded by appliances. not sure where we'd move our stove if we freed up the island for dining. We could then have a extension on the west end that allowed seating to expand beyond 8. But then what do you do with the chairs when you do't want them cluttering the space and blocking access to the island as work station. and then how would someone serve or continue to access the kitchen spaces during a meal while people were seated. this must have lots of space around it. Dunno. Maybe not the best plan.

Q

Photo

everyone is doing this "off the end of the island" seating features

Q

Photo

Wild and whacky in a fun way. HOw clever that that the seating/eating area is then further separated by what looks to be a desk at the very end of the island.

Q

Photo

sometimes i prefer the lowered table extension since bar stools are never really comfortable.

Q

Photo

clearly these island extensions are popular, but everyone also has a regular dining space -- which is our problem. where to have regular dining space?

Q

Photo

i like this in that the change in materials makes the whole table extension look intentional and integrates is with the other parts of the island.

Q

Photo

I like the openness of the more table-like extension. We don't have space for permanent positioning like shown in the photo, but this goes back to the idea of something that pulls out/expands.

Q

Photo

interesting dining option. Don't like how high the sink counter is raised - feels as if it crowds/cuts into the dining part. I would limit it to about a 2-inch difference. However, the height is determined by counter top height vs table seating height. But this does have a lot of seating around the curved end. Is it a space hog and does it replace formal dining?

Q

Photo

i like that the built-in window seat has "air" underneath it

Q

Photo

storage underneath a must. While I had wanted the seating to mimic the bay window shape, i see a straight edge is way betters. for seating, pillows (lot of sturdy ones) can be used to turn this into valuable seating space when a table it pushed up to it.

Q

Photo

Diagonal side rails on pull out shelf allow for storing taller items and keep things from falling out.

Q

Photo

What is this? Does camera just distort a regular frig? But doors look different?.......

Q

Photo

This long sleek counter simply looks great

Q

Photo

Good idea having righ5 under chop area

Q

Photo

Maybe good idea for equip garage with lift up door and translucent glass.

Q

Photo

this frig looks ginormous - can't tell if it's camera angle or what. looks 5' wide with all one freezer drawer. could that be?

Q

Photo

clever - worth considering

Q

Photo

another great idea already noted in another photo

Q

Photo

This is good for less frequently used items - or a group of items one might like to keep together for service.

Q

Photo

so unrealistically tidy !!!!!

Q

Photo

these to seem to make sense. right now we are cluttered on the counter with a jar full of utensils.

Q

Photo

A thought. But one is giving up prime cabinet space to accommodate something less frequently used. I wonder how this holds up to the vibration and movement caused by a mixer.

Q

Photo

drawer makes total sense and we will include this. I tried to do that for laundry room.

Q

Photo

Brilliant indeed. Love this -- tho it reorients where one stands and changes view from south to west.

Q

Photo

so cool, but how in the world to they water the plants. don't think the faucet sprayer is THAT long.

Q

Product

Lowered Divider. Pros: Want to have a double sink and be able to comfortably wash or soak a long-handled pan? A sink with a lowered divider might be for you. Cons: If your cooking style demands deep water, this is not an ideal configuration.

Q

Photo

Pros: super functional sink system with lots of options. Cons: This sink can take up a lot of countertop space, although the prep areas it provides may make up for that. Because it’s so involved, this option is not for the casual cook. The industrial look makes a strong statement.

Q

Photo

sink accessories -- remember the roll mat available for sinks. takes up little space for storage when not in use (not shown in this photo) and is effective rack when in use, tho it is just flat, with no uprights for standing up plates. these accessories require that the sink top be exposed, even when an undermount, since the accessories need something to rest on. i prefer a clean undermount, but need to explore this more.

Q

Photo

consider built in drain board for dishes or veggies. does take up more space, but is perhaps better that losing one compartment to dish drainer or a chunk of counter to dish drainer. we hand wash, so always have dishes air drying. where to put them is an issue. a separate built in space for this would be great.

Q

Product

atrractive. trouble with all of these lights flagged is that they are specialty bulbs and are NOT LED. Not sure how wise that is for selecting new, attached fixtures.

Q

Product

odd, but i rather like this

Q

Product

actually looks better in bronze, but i like that this has lots of breathability

Q

Product

an interesting semi-flush. don't love it but it's different from most if we want a more industrial look

Q

Product

interesting shape

Q

Product

simple, inexpensive

Q

Product

sort of like NOTE: these three flagged fixtures are on sale NOW via HOUZZ -- very costly when not on sale
