Kitchen Combos of Elements - Misc
- see other idea books on soapstone countertops & stainless countertops & other specific items.
Blue ceiling! Could put hallway yellow on ceiling. Blue here makes kitchen a bit darker, but yellow wouldn't. This would avoid little blotches/lines of yellow scattered around kitchen but still use it to tie kitchen to adjacent hallways. Hated this idea at first, but starting to quite like it. Then would use a warm white on small patch of walls (will be much less exposed walls than now).
Love these windows, but no screens. :-((( Wood on floors & countertops with white cabs & white trim. Trash chute in counter (custom made) --> could pair this with a composting chute. Bin pulls.
this combo but with yellow walls & slightly darker wood tones & soapstone
could do a smaller version of this cooking hearth. Is that tube an exhaust fan?
Cab faces odd with big surrounds & skinny center sections.
Love the warmth of this kitchen. If used our yellow paint color & did a rub through, you'd end up with a color sim to this. Would be even better with soapstone where the granite is. Floor would need to be more brownish than orangish. Eclectic items like mismatched sinks & faucets somehow work - items so different that they don't look like tried to match them & missed..
Warm and sunny French Country style kitchen of beadboard style yellow painted cabinetry mixed with the deep royal blue quartz countertops. Beautiful, but don't think I'm this brave. Funky lower corner cab???
Pic 2. Do like that tile is used in this as there are so many beautiful tiles.
Pic 3. More tile. I've always liked these tile art panels.
Cab color is Adams Gold HC-18 Paint & countertops are Ayers Green granite (could it be honed?)
like yel cabs, dark pulls, soapstone countertops, stainless appliances & white subway tile backsplash-->would have to change color of kitchen walls
Even though i generally never liked yellow for much, I'm finding myself attracted to yellow cabs.
Pic 2. I like yel cab, soap stone, cool black range, white subway tile, & wood floor
Could have white walls, taupe cabs, soapstone countertops, wood floor & white trim. If used hardware sim to this, then could have a white faucet --> would avoid matching the brass. Floor & cab color would warm it up, but it would still be understated. No paint colors given here.
Pic 2. Think that soapstone would give it just a bit of "texture/pattern" which would actually be good. Also NEED that fancy black range.
Pic 3. Cool hardware.
Absolute Black granite & plain paint on cabs-->both a flat look-->prefer some "texture"--> either soapstone countertops or dyed or distressed or glazed or "rub through" cab finish. But too much if both countertops & cabs have much texture (soapstone & a rub through paint would work).
Blue cabs, black countertops, butcher block countertop & wood floor, white walls. No yellow anywhere.
This yellow isn't as bright as ours, but the strong bluish green color works well with it. Perhaps a blue or green cab could work with yellow walls. The base cabinets are Benjamin Moore Waterbury Green, HC-136 in satin, the tall cabinets are Benjamin Moore Vintage Wine #2116-20, satin. The wall color is either C2 brand Vicuna, or BM Khaki #2148 flat sheen. Countertops darkish like soapstone.
Love it all. Antique laboratory table for island.
Pic 2. Love everything about this except for green backsplash. Cab color is Benjamin Moore Britannia Blue. Sink from savage yard. Faucet is Barber Wilson, drinking water faucet is Newport Brass in un-laquered brass.
Neutral blue cabs, dark & wood counter tops, wood floor, stainless appliances, white walls & ceiling --> think that our bright yellow would blow up color scheme. Like light fixtures.
I'm really drawn to blue & green cabs with wood colored floors &/or (butcher block) countertops.
Like the neutral blue with the blackish countertop (think that this is honed Absolute Black granite, but sim color to soapstone). If do a grayish blue/blueish gray color like this, it might work well with the yellow. Much of wall area, esp near cabs, will have a backsplash (white bead board?) near it, which will help tone down the yellow & blue contrast I'm fretting about. Range is sticking out--yuck.
Blue painted cabs with blackish countertop.
Love dark green with brass bin pulls. Art shelf with brass rail is cool
Like combo. Countertops are Walnut with a simple clear finish
Love the soft & glam look of this kitchen. Great colors & fab range (La Cornue CornuFe Stove). The windows are what I want to do!
Like the mint green --> a victorian feel. Thinking that may need high Victorian ceilings to carry this off.
Graining showing on cabs + pattern on countertops-->looks busy-->probably need to choose between soapstone or dyed cabs (could use honed Absolute Black granite with dyed cabs).
Love the feel of this kitchen. Soft cab color (like taupe cabs above) with soft white around them is lovely. Would like more bead board backsplash.
Pic 2
soapstone & wood countertops, soft neutral green cabs, soft yells, stainless appliances, all upper cabs have glass fronts
are stainless appliances a plus because they break up cabs? Also stainless hardware
Love the Colonial feel & colors in this kitchen (also in next 2 photos)...paint from C2 Collections (http://www.c2color.com/). The walls are "Buffed" in satin finish (#C2-2358); the trim is "Sage" with semi-gloss finish (#C2-4087), and the ceiling is "Halo" in non-reflective flat finish (C2-2344)...flooring is Expanko cork tiles
Pic 2. The C2 colors are Morris Green, Sage and Ecru...floor is cork, and has been a total dream to walk on and to keep looking good...glue chip glass for the cabinet doors...cabinets were built by Crystal, and the doors are slightly twisted and do not meet perfectly along their inside edges
Pic 3. Countertop is Pietra Del Cardosa, and the trim color is C2 Collections: C2-4087 M "Sage" 06/01 semi-gloss. This countertop looks a bit like soapstone & wouldn't darken like oiled soapstone.
Don't want anything like this, but it's spectacular!
Found this striking. Don't want it, but a cool industrial look.
Don't like combo of different colors with top diff from bottom or diff colors on diff walls. Diff color of island god.
Like a lot about this pic. Shelves above cabs look good as used for books & display, not to store dishes & such. Bead board, blackish countertops, white Shaker cabs with inset doors, yellowish walls, bin style pulls, wood floors.
