I love the movement of the quarter sawn/rift cut grains. But would like a lighter stain.
like this color, though a little less yellow/gold...
they call this Character grade...like it
and this color as well, though it is red oak, which contrasts nicely with the kid's furniture choices.
love the varying plank size here, not the rustic old wood though.

like the varying widths of the wood here, and the natural color. no need for the hand scraped finish, though.
again, I like these random width planks, and the color
ten inch wide, with nice nice nice color... some sort of oil finish.
