Grandma’s Bathroom
This pic it to help you think differently about the window. The current covering could come off and you could get a custom shade in the lower half. In truth, we could build an octagonal frame that folds down so you could put it up to cover the whole window or fold it down to get more light and see sky out of the top half. It would not be too difficult at all.
This one needs your imagination. Imagine if you flip your shower to the far end. Then in the space between the shower and the window you could put a vanity. It would be smaller but could be built up right against the shower the way they did here (framed out a small wall covered with tile and installed the vanity against it on the outside and a bench against it on the inside. Then you would still have room for a but under the window.
This is the same idea as the first picture but has a window over the tub. In this design, the shower and tub stay where they are but you open the wall between them and separate them only with glass. It will make the shower feel even bigger and make the whole room brighter. Would require the plumbing to be moved to the other wall but that is doable.
Imagine taking out the wall between the tub and shower. The shower head would shift to the other wall and you’d separate them with glass. The face in this picture is roughly where your window is. Would feel very open and light-filled.
